Emily Maynard Johnson’s son Jones just hit a big milestone: turning 3!

On Monday, September 1, the former Bachelorette, 39, and her husband, Tyler Johnson, shared a sweet 3rd birthday tribute to Jones. The Instagram post included a cute video of her family singing “happy birthday” to Jones, followed by a family photo that included all of Emily and Tyler’s five kids: Jones, Jennings, 10, Gibson, 8, Gatlin, 7 and Nola, 4. (Emily’s older daughter Ricki, 20, whom she shared with late fiancé Ricky Hendrick, was not pictured.)

“Warrior boy is 3 ⚔️💙💛,” Emily and Tyler captioned the post. “Love you so much Jones!!!”

Jones’ birthday comes less than a week after 20-year-old Ricki announced that she was expecting her first baby.

On Tuesday, August 26, Ricki shared a sonogram photo via her Instagram Story with the caption inspired by Love Island USA’s Huda Mustafa, “Netflix told me I’m not allowed to talk about it.”

Ricki later posted another Instagram Story of the fetus moving in utero, writing, “My heart is so full, yet my stomach is so empty because she hates all food. I’m convinced.”

Emily has yet to publicly address Ricki’s pregnancy.

Emily was engaged to Hendrick when he died in an airplane accident in 2004 at just 24 years old. Following his death, Emily discovered she was pregnant with their first child. At 19, Emily welcomed Ricki, full name Josephine Riddick Hendrick.

Nearly seven years after Ricky’s tragic death, Emily appeared as a contestant on season 15 of The Bachelor, which premiered in January 2011. While Emily got engaged to Bachelor Brad Womack in the season finale, their relationship was short-lived and Emily later starred as The Bachelorette on season 8 of the ABC show, which premiered in May 2012. At the end of the show, Emily accepted a proposal from Jeff Holm. The twosome split in October 2012.

Following her stints on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Emily reconnected with Tyler, an old church friend, in 2013.

“We met at church,” Emily said during a Good Morning America appearance in January 2014. “I think that’s why our relationship is so good now, because we started out as friends.”

The couple got engaged in January 2014 and tied the knot the following June. Emily and Tyler went on to welcome son Jennings in July 2015, Gibson in September 2016, Gatlin in 2017, Nola in October 2020 and Jones in August 2022.

Emily has previously spoken about how much she loves motherhood.

“There is no other feeling like being a mom,” she told HuffPost in an August 2013 interview. “People tell you that you won’t know until you experience it. They’re right. There is nothing like it.”
