An estranged husband shot his wife’s new beau to death Thursday outside a home in Queens before escaping, cops said.
The gunman repeatedly blasted the 50-year-old victim in the chest and stomach around 10:30 p.m. in front the residence on 119th Street near 28th Avenue in College Point, authorities said.
The gravely wounded man was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he soon succumbed to his injuries, police said.
The shooter – who sources say is 55 years old and separated from his wife – fled the scene and had not been caught by Friday morning. Cops declined to release his name as he was on the lam.
It was not immediately clear whether the two men fought before the shooting, or if the gunman ambushed his target.
Cops also could not immediately confirm whether the woman at the center of the clash witnessed the deadly violence.
The fatal victim’s name has not been formally released, pending family notification.
