A man was killed in a fuel tank explosion at an army facility in Texas on Wednesday.

Andrew Libby, 39, died at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning at Camp Stanley near San Antonio, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The man was rushed to University Hospital in San Antonio, but later died of his injuries, according to The San Antonio Express-News.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Army’s Joint Munitions Command, said: “We deeply regret the loss of life that occurred today.

“The incident is currently under investigation. The safety of employees and the community is important, and we will take steps to ensure an incident like this is prevented in the future.”
