One of the best looks belonged to pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter. The two-time Grammy award winner stunned with her outfit from Louis Vuitton.
“Thank you Anna for such a special night,” Carpenter said on Instagram. “And a special thank you to the incomparable [Pharrell] and the whole team at [Louis Vuitton] for this amazing look that was tailored to perfection.”
While thousands of people have already praised the outfit online, WWE fans couldn’t help but notice that Carpenter happens to resemble none other than The Ring General, Gunther.
Everything on Carpenter’s dress seemed to match Gunther’s coat perfectly, including the red coloring, the buttons, and even the white lapels.
“Sabrina Carpenter thinks she’s slick copying Gunther at the Met Gala,” said one fan.
Another fan shared a video of Carpenter with Gunther’s entrance theme dubbed over it.
What makes this comparison completely hilarious is how difference both of these people are. Carpenter is a bubbly blonde who seems to take joy in being goofy and is unafraid to poke fun at herself.
Meanwhile, Gunther is one of if not the most serious professional wrestlers on the planet, striving for perfection and destroying enemies with powerful, direct moves that aren’t flashy in the slightest.
That being said, the look works perfectly for both parties. Hopefully, this will lead to one of the strangest team ups in professional wrestling history.
