Fleetwood Mac’s legendary guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has a terrifying history of stalking incidents, the Post can reveal — as he recovers from a new attack in Santa Monica.

A woman, named only as “Michelle,” has terrorized the hitmaker for years and even got him dragged out of his house in handcuffs following a bizarre swatting call.

The woman, who has not been named a suspect in the new attack, also showed up at his mansion and repeatedly harassed his wife and children in a desperate bid to catch his attention.

On Wednesday it emerged Buckingham had been targeted by an alleged stalker who ambushed him when he showed up for an appointment in Santa Monica.

The suspect tossed an unknown substance over him, before fleeing the scene, with cops still hunting for the person. They said they knew who it was but did not identify them.

Buckingham’s stalker hell in the past revolves around Michelle, who he took out a temporary restraining order on in 2024.

The star said she harassed him and his family starting in 2021. He said Michelle called him and his wife dozens of times, and would leave long messages claiming to be his daughter.

The stalker also threatened to kill Buckingham and his family, along with blaming him for facial deformities she suffered as a child.

“She also blamed me for facial deformities she apparently suffered as a child and demanded money,” he said. “I do not know [Michelle] and I am not her father.”

Police had instructed Michelle not to contact Buckingham and his family in 2022. The messages to him and his wife stopped, but the woman had been contacting his son, William, without the musician knowing.

Her stalking then reintensified in 2024 with the woman sending him a picture collage with her face and Buckingham’s.

In September, she showed up at one of his Los Angeles homes. Police pulled her over after she left and told her not to come back.

And then in November, one of the most terrifying incidents happened. It started with his stalker allegedly calling the police on him.

Buckingham had been awoken by “nearly a dozen” police officers outside of his home who handcuffed him. Michelle had apparently called the cops and told them his son, William, was in the house and wanted to hurt himself. She said she heard gunshots.

“When I answered the door, I was handcuffed and asked to step outside of my house,” Buckingham said. “The reason given was that a 911 call had been received stating that my son William was in my house and [wanting to harm himself] and that the caller had heard gunshots.”

Cops eventually realized the call was a ruse and released Buckingham. He told a court that it was the “latest in an unabated pattern of harassment and threatening acts against my family and me.”

He was eventually granted a permanent restraining order against Michelle in December 2024.

The woman who attacked Buckingham in Santa Monica has not been arrested. Both the Santa Monica and Los Angeles Police Departments are investigating the incident, and the “Never Going Back Again” writer was not believed to be injured in the scary attack.
