Did somebody order the strip steak?
A Florida chophouse is now offering diners the opportunity to have a meal completely in the nude.
C.L.A.S.S. Soirée Steakhouse in the city of Hollywood will be offering the au naturel gastronomic experience on the first Monday of every month.
Chef Maurad Ali told the USA Today Network that he got the “special” idea for a stripped-down dinner after a nudist group rented out the restaurant and ate their meal in the buff.
“In the restaurant business, doing good doesn’t always cut it,” Ali told the outlet.
“Everyone has a New York strip, everyone has a ribeye, everyone has cool dishes. We have to be different,” the restaurant’s owner of eight years said after starting the disrobed dining experience in July.
The prix-fix meal includes appetizers, hors d’oeuvres, a surf ‘n’ turf dinner and a champagne toast for the 20 feasters in their birthday suits.
Unclad eaters will have to dish out $250 if they’re a man, $150 if they’re a woman, or $300 if they’re a couple to eat in the buff.
Officials in the city of Hollywood said that the dining experience is legal.
“Yes, it’s legal,” Joann Hussey, a spokesperson for the city of Hollywood told Local 10. “It’s legal because the staff members working are clothed.”
Stark-naked steak eaters are given a seat cushion and a lap towel when they come in to eat.
When diners enter the restaurant they are given a robe — but Chef Ali said most refuse it, and those who take it often get rid of it.
“It’s been very popular,” Chef Ali said. “What we’re doing is special.”
