The New York Giants fell to 0-3 with a 22-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, and they have plenty of issues to deal with.

For one, starting quarterback Russell Wilson is playing poorly. He went 18 of 32 and had two interceptions and no touchdowns on Sunday, which left some fans at MetLife Stadium almost begging for the team to give rookie Jaxson Dart a shot under center.

Dart will now get his chance to show his stuff, as he was named the Giants’ new QB1 on Tuesday.

New York may have a couple of emerging threats in its passing game in the form of young wide receivers Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson. But its ground game has been weak, and it will now be without its starting running back for a little while.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. sustained a dislocated shoulder versus Kansas City, and per Adam Schefter, he’s expected to miss two to four weeks of action.

Tracy had a solid rookie campaign last season with 839 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns on an average of 4.4 yards per carry. He also added 38 receptions, 284 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

He had been quiet to start this season with 68 rushing yards through three games.

His injury will mean more touches for Cam Skattebo, a rookie who was taken in the fourth round of the NFL draft out of Arizona State University. Skattebo did well on Sunday with 60 rushing yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

He had a monster 2024 campaign with a Big 12-high 1,711 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns, which earned him a First-team All-Big 12 nod.

Veteran RB Devin Singletary, who has gotten just eight carries so far in 2025, should also receive more touches with Tracy out.

The Giants have a tough schedule coming up. They will host the Los Angeles Chargers, who are starting to look like an emerging powerhouse, this weekend, and in Week 6, they will face the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles after just three days of rest.

After that, New York has back-to-back road games versus the Denver Broncos and those same Eagles before it returns to Bergen County to face the San Francisco 49ers.
