Last Halloween, Justin Bieber said on his Twitch stream that he was “super excited” to headline Coachella 2026
“I’ve always dreamed of performing at Coachella,” Bieber said. “There’s something really magical about being out there in the desert. We have a place out there, and it’s one of my favorite places in the world.”
Bieber’s lifelong dream is coming true on Saturday night when he makes his Coachella headlining debut to what’s expected to be a record crowd.
Hailey Bieber, his wife since September 2018, might be even more excited than Justin.
Earlier Saturday, Hailey posted a throwback clip of a preteen Justin singing “Bootylicious” by Destiny’s Child. In the video, the once-in-a-generation star sings, “I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly” before adorably flubbing the end of the chorus.
Bieber’s SKYLRK has already been the talk of Coachella before he set foot on stage. The clothing and lifestyle brand installed a 10,000-square-foot SKYLRK Oasis space in the heart of the Coachella festival grounds and planted a SKYLRK Shop right next to it.
On his Halloween stream, Bieber said he planned to center his Coachella set on “SWAG” and “SWAG II,” his albums released last July and September, respectively, and “merge some of the old songs in where I can.”
Bieber’s genre-bending “SWAG” earned four Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year, and he delivered a stunning stripped-back performance of “YUKON” at the Grammys on Feb. 1.
Over the last two weeks, Bieber staged invite-only, surprise shows at The Roxy and The Troubadour in Los Angeles to warm up for Coachella. It marked the first time Bieber ran through the “SWAG” and “SWAG II” tracklists live.
Bieber will headline this Saturday, April 11, and next Saturday, April 18, and his set is expected to run for 90 minutes.
