Hilaria Baldwin got emotional following her Dancing With the Stars elimination.

After getting voted off on Tuesday, October 7, Hilaria, 41, spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about how her husband, Alec Baldwin, and other loved ones supported her throughout the roller-coaster journey.

“He’s such a good support. He’s a really good support, and I’m very grateful to have him,” she noted. “He always says to me, ‘You’ve supported me through so many things, and so I’m here to support you through this.’ It’s been a wonderful journey.”

Hilaria was also glad her kids could see her pursuing her passion for dance. (Alec, 67, and Hilaria share kids Carmen Gabriela, 11, Rafael Thomas, 9, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 8, Romeo Alejandro David, 6, Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas, 4, María Lucía Victoria, 4, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, 2.)

“Everybody has been so supportive of me,” she added. “And any mom out there knows how much we, not only do we many times birth them — although I’ve come into motherhood in different ways so I’m sure that other people out there have as well — but we get up with them, and they’re difficult nights, and we stress about them, and we’ll support them and everything, and to have my kids out there in the audience supporting me, and then to see them cry afterwards, it broke my heart.”

After performing a quickstep to “Cantina Band” from Star Wars: A New Hope in honor of Disney Night, Hilaria and partner Gleb Savchenko earned a score of 23 out of 30 from the judges, who were divided as Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonoli praised the dance and Derek Hough was more critical.

Despite being on par with several other pairs on the leaderboard, Hilaria and Gleb, 42, didn’t receive enough fan support in the record-making 40 million votes cast on Tuesday night. While Hilaria was tearful while expressing to Us how “grateful” she was to have been on DWTS, Savchenko took the time to praise her commitment.

“[What surprised me most is] how hard she worked every single day, I would come into the studio on time, and she would already be there, already warmed up, ready to go,” he recalled. “And that really showed me how much love and how much effort she put into the show, and how much she wanted to stay and be the best.”

He continued: “It showed, and the level of dance and the level of quality we showed, it was incredible. I am just so grateful for this opportunity to be partnering with her, dancing with her. I just loved it.”

Despite not making it further in the competition, Hilaria was proud of what her time on DWTS taught her — and her kids.

“I’ll remember the first thing my oldest daughter said,” she added on Tuesday. “I said, ‘What happens if I get voted off right away?’ and she said, ‘Mommy at least you tried.’ Because all I want them to do in their life is try, just try.”

Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Scroll down to see each couple’s scores from Disney Night:
