The Love Island USA finale had a lot going on — and still found a way to mention Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce after their wedding.

During the Sunday, July 12, episode of the hit Peacock series, narrator Iain Stirling poked fun at the way Zach Georgiou uses different phrases to describe certain words in his native Britain. Iain joked that instead of “royal family,” Zach would say “Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.”

The couple’s romance started in 2023 when he made a move during one of her Eras Tour shows. Two months later, Swift, 36, took fans by surprise when she showed up to support Kelce, 36, at a Kansas City Chiefs game.

“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” Swift explained of her relationship with Kelce in a November 2023 interview with TIME. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

Swift also defended their frequent public outings as their romance continued to blossom.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she added at the time. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

The pair got engaged in 2025 after weathering overwhelming public interest into their relationship.

“[Our relationship] can be perceived as something else because of how much it is talked about and how much we are tracked whenever we do go out, but I would say that it’s as normal of …,” Kelce told GQ in 2025. “Nothing I’ve ever done has been a controlled, organized process. When I say it was so organic, we fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with.”

Swift and Kelce officially tied the knot on July 3 after three years together.

“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom,” read a statement from Swift’s rep. “This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom made by Christian Louboutin and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.”

The statement continued: “Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”

Love Island USA is currently streaming on Peacock.
