The Zachary, Louisiana native caught 33 passes for 433 yards and seven scores as a sophomore, already the program record for touchdown receptions by a tight end, and he’s a matchup problem at 6-foot-7 with legitimate track speed down the seam. Clemson’s front seven is still finding its identity after offseason turnover, and if Green wins early against linebackers in coverage, LSU has an easy answer for a new starting quarterback to lean on.
Clemson needs a security blanket for a first-time starter walking into a hostile SEC building, and that’s the job Moore has already shown he can do. He led the Tigers in receiving a season ago with 837 yards, the clearest proof that Clemson’s passing game doesn’t start and end with names like Bryant Wesco. With Wesco working back from a back injury that cost him half of last season, Moore’s role as Vizzina’s most trusted target only grows, and LSU’s secondary will have to account for him on early downs just to slow this offense down.
