Rubber duckie, you’re the one… No, seriously.
Police in Georgia are hunting a twisted intruder who snuck into a stranger’s pool and hot tub — where he was filmed “intensely interacting” with a rubber duck before fleeing with around $1,200 worth of towels.
Surveillance cameras at the home just outside Savannah captured the unidentified stranger enjoying the home’s amenities, including a bizarre interaction with a shades-wearing rubber duckie in the hot tub.
“He trespassed onto their property, used their hot tub, became obsessed with their rubber duck, then stole their pool towels,” the Chatham County Police Department wrote on Facebook of the bizzare happening.
“While in the hot tub, the man is caught on video becoming infatuated with a rubber duck. The video shows the man spending more than 10 minutes intensely interacting with the duck,” the department said.
“It’s obviously not the biggest crime we’ve dealt with this month, but it has a lot of ick-factor. So, we’d like to find this guy so he doesn’t do this to someone else.”
The twisted intruder was filmed entering the yard between 2:15 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 1.
Police didn’t divulge more information about the nature of the acts performed amid his infatuation. However, a grainy, black-and-white still of the security footage appears to show the weirdo kissing or gnawing on the rear-end of the toy.
Cops said he also made off with six bath towels valued at around $200 apiece.
The department is asking for help locating the duck-enamored swimming enthusiast.
“Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the photos or has any information about this case is asked to contact police,” the department wrote.
