A woman has left the internet in stitches after sharing her reason for her mistrust in men, and it all stems from a simple “good morning” message.

While many women might cite past infidelity or heartbreak as reasons for doubting male honesty, TikTok user @f****ityfurk shared a unique perspective. For her, the root of her skepticism comes down to a text.

“This is why I’ll never trust a man. I just woke up to ‘Good morning, beautiful.’ Good morning, beautiful? Where? Where?” she humorously exclaimed, showing off her disheveled, static hair and freshly-woken face.

Her hair stood out wildly around her head, giving her a hilariously exaggerated “bedhead” look.

“The lies are unmatched,” she jokingly captioned the video.

In the clip, she showcased her reflection in the mirror: her wild mane standing at attention, paired with cozy pajamas and only one hand fully manicured.

Bedhead like @f****ityfurk’s is a common morning issue many people face. As Saatva explains, static electricity and the friction from tossing and turning during sleep can leave hair standing on end by morning. The wild look like the one in the video is a classic example.

The infamous “good morning” text, often seen as a sweet and thoughtful gesture, has its mixed reviews. Men’s Health notes that while some people appreciate the gesture, others may see it as routine and insincere, especially when it doesn’t quite match how they feel in the morning—particularly if they look anything like @f****ityfurk upon waking up.

However, not all responses to the “good morning” text are as skeptical. As one Medium article points out, many people feel the text symbolizes care, showing that someone is thinking of you when they wake up. For them, it’s not a chore, but a conscious decision to reach out and start the day with a connection.

TikTokers flocked to the comments to share their amusement, and many related to her experience.

“He should have told you ‘Good morning, Sunshine,'” joked one commenter named Amy, comparing her voluminous hair to rays of sunshine framing her face.

Another TikToker, Tamara, noted: “I love that you only have nails on one hand.”

Simon commented: “I thought he’d hacked all your hair off in your sleep at first!” referring to the wild state of her hair.

One user shared a sweet take on the situation, writing: “My hubby explained this to me since I brought it to his attention, and his response was so sweet: ‘When I refer to you as beautiful, I don’t mean just your looks—you are beautiful as a whole human.'”

Maria added: “This made me laugh so hard. My husband used to tell me that too, and then when I’d get ready and do my makeup, he would say nothing!”

Newsweek reached out to @f****ityfurk for comment via TikTok. We could not verify the details of the case.
