In a wholly shocking move, the New York Jets have officially fired head coach Robert Saleh. To make things even more surprising, defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich has been named interim head coach for the team.

Saleh has been relieved of his duties just five games into the season. The last time a coach was fired this early in the season was when the Carolina Panthers fired Matt Rhule after going 1-4 in 2022.

The Jets are currently 2-3 and are still being competitive. However, they will now be attempting to rebound their season even more under a new head coach.
