A journalist who was with disgraced ex-CNN host Don Lemon when he allegedly stormed a Minnesota church has shared video of the moment agents came to also arrest her Friday morning.
“There’s agents at my door,” independent journalist Georgia Fort said as she livestreamed the arrest on Facebook Live.
“As a member of the press, I filmed the church protest a few weeks ago and now I’m being arrested for that,” Fort added.
“It’s hard to understand how we have a Constitution, Constitutional rights, when we can just be arrested for being a member of the press.”
At one point, a female arresting officer can be heard telling Fort to hurry up and come outside.
It remains unclear what charges Fort and Lemon are facing over the Jan. 18 demonstration at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The pair were two of around 30 to 40 who stormed the church after reports that the pastor was an ICE agent.
Attorney General Pam Bondi on Friday morning posted on X that Lemon, Fort, and activists Trahern Jeen Crews and Jamael Lydell Lundy were arrested at her direction “in connection with the coordinated attack on Cities Church.”
