Katy Perry reunited with her friend Lauren Sánchez at Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday, July 9.

The “Woman’s World” singer, 40, paired clear sunglasses with a sleek black minidress and arched heels as she arrived in Paris’ 7th arrondissement for noted fashion designer Demna’s final couture show for Balenciaga before he moves to Gucci. Sánchez, 55, wore a fitted black coat and dark heels as she arrived at the Kering Group headquarters.

Perry and Sánchez regrouped inside the Balenciaga event, where they were joined by close friends Kim Kardashian and Vittoria Ceretti, according to the Daily Mail. Wednesday’s fashion show served as a reunion for Perry and Sánchez, as the pop star missed her friend’s wedding to Jeff Bezos in Venice, Italy, in June.

In May, Perry did attend Sánchez’s Paris bachelorette party alongside Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Eva Longoria, but she was not present during the newlyweds’ full weekend of wedding festivities the following month. (Perry and Sánchez traveled together on the Bezos-funded all-female Blue Origin rocket in April.)

Perry was in the midst of headlining the Australian leg of her The Lifetimes Tour in Adelaide over the same weekend as the star-studded nuptials. Sánchez reached out via Instagram days before the wedding after Perry posted images from her recent concerts.

“We miss you Katy,” Sánchez assured her friend via Instagram.

While Perry was absent from Sánchez and Perry’s big weekend, the singer’s now-former partner Orlando Bloom did attend the weekend-long celebration in Venice. Us Weekly exclusively reported that Bloom was in especially high spirits for Sánchez and Bezos’ pajama-themed, post-wedding bash, where he reportedly “didn’t leave the dance floor for hours.”

“[Bloom] was in full party mood,” a source revealed to Us.

Us reported in June that Perry and Bloom — who share 4-year-old daughter Daisy — “split but are amicable” after nine years of dating. Their representatives subsequently released a joint statement addressing Perry and Bloom’s separation on July 2.

“Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” the joint statement read. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”

Meanwhile, Sánchez and Bezos are seemingly settling into newlywed life after tying the knot. The couple greeted their celebrity friends in Venice on June 26 at an initial get-together before exchanging vows at a basilica on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore the following morning.

Us exclusively reported that the couple were throwing a “main celebration” for their 200 wedding guests one night after their wedding, with the likes of Tom Brady, Mick Jagger, Kris Jenner, Sydney Sweeney and Leonardo DiCaprio, among others, in attendance. The PJ-themed afterparty featured musical performances from DJ Cassidy and Usher as well as an extravagant Italian buffet with various pastas and cannolis.

“This was the night that was all about the music and the partying,” an insider revealed to Us.

The newlyweds confirmed their engagement when Bezos popped the question to Sánchez during a vacation in France in May 2023.
