The Cleveland Browns and head coach Kevin Stefanski have suffered through yet another long season and are currently 3-11 entering Week 16 NFL action.

Once again, the Browns are headed towards having a high pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. However, the future remains a major question mark surrounding the franchise.

Heading into the upcoming offseason, Cleveland will need to make a decision. Does the team think that Stefanski is the right head coach to lead the franchise into the future? Or, should the Browns look to make a change and replace him?

Steelers Insider Provides Bizarre Update on TJ Watt

At this point in time, no one knows what the answer to that question will end up being. Stefanski could be back in 2026, but it also would not be shocking to see Cleveland look to replace him with a fresh voice.

That being said, a new update has been shared about Stefanski’s future heading into this week’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

As shared by ESPN Cleveland on X, NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero report that no decision has been made by the Browns about Stefanski’s future with the team.

Since taking over as the head coach in Cleveland, Stefanski has led the team to a 43-55 record. He has made the playoffs in two out of his six seasons with the franchise. That isn’t an ideal track record.

Granted, the blame cannot be placed squarely on Stefanski’s shoulders. Andrew Berry and the front office have made quite a few questions moves. Jimmy Haslam, the team’s owner, has also admitted to being a big part of the massive Deshaun Watson mistake.

Entering the offseason, the Browns will need to figure out the quarterback position. Do they think that Shedeur Sanders can truly be the long-term starter? Will they target a quarterback in the first round of the 2026 draft?

Stefanski’s future is far from the only question mark in Cleveland. However, a decision will need to be reached quickly to begin the offseason.

It seems most likely that Stefanski will be brought back for the 2026 season. Should next season go the same was as this year, the Browns would likely decide to make a change. But, anything could happen and all options are on the table.
