Kyle Busch clinched another trophy in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series by winning the Fr8 208 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Starting in ninth place, Busch drove his No. 7 Chevrolet to victory, demonstrating his dominance by leading 80 laps and claiming his 67th series win.
Busch’s performance at Atlanta Motor Speedway is part of a limited schedule with Spire Motorsports in 2024.
Having sold Kyle Busch Motorsports to Spire Motorsports in late 2023, the race represents his first Truck Series start of the season. It is also an important win for Spire Motorsports, marking a big milestone in their inaugural Truck Series season after expanding operations by acquiring Busch’s team.

Reflecting on his win, Busch explained to the media, as quoted by Motorsport.com:
“Just trying to make sure I stayed as far forward as I possibly could.
“Those guys would kind of cycle to me and I’d get to the next one in front of me, next one in front of me, next one in front of me — and I kept trying to make sure that I battled back and I got back to that front so I could try and control it the best that I could.
“But that inside [line] was good. They were rolling forward so it made for heck of a race. Proud that we had a heck of a race there at the finish and it wasn’t single-file so there was some mixing it up for these fans out here to see a cool show.”
The early laps of the race were led by Connor Mosack and Grant Enfinger. As the race progressed, several cautions due to collisions and other incidents led to shuffled positions on the track. The final stretches of the race saw Friesen almost clinching victory, only for Busch to secure the win with a precise side draft.
