A deranged Idaho mom who claimed her twins died over a year ago of “vaccine injuries” has now been charged in her children’s killings, according to authorities and reports.
Andrea Shaw, 23, was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of first-degree murder Monday in connection with the deaths of her 18-month-old twins, Dallas and Tyson, in May 2025, according to the Payette Police Department.
Shaw’s toddlers were discovered dead in their shared bed in Northgate Mobile Park, sparking police to launch a homicide investigation.
The mom appeared on a podcast with her husband, Nathaniel Shaw, in the days after the brother and sister were allegedly murdered, claiming that vaccines were responsible for their deaths.
Shaw told the podcast — hosted by the anti-vaccine nonprofit Children’s Health Defense, which was previously chaired by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy — that the twins’ health took a turn for the worse after they received the flu, Hepatitis A, and DTaP vaccines
Shaw said that her husband’s side of the family “all have bad reactions or are allergic to the flu shot” and said the twins were “okay” and “took a nap” when they got home.
Shaw then sobbed and said that when the children woke up the next day, she noticed they appeared unwell, tired, and had blue lips.
“I changed her diaper, and I noticed the typical toddler pot belly was gone, she was skinny, she looked tired,” Shaw said.
Tyson looked worse than Dallas, the mom recalled, stating, “his eyes were sunken back with black, dark circles.”
Nathaniel said he was at work when the twins became unwell, with his mother later coming to rush the children to the hospital.
The children fell sick and had diarrhea in the week after they were released from the hospital, but the day before their deaths, they appeared to be “eating fine” and seemed less lethargic, Shaw claimed.
The anti-vax mom posted family photos and wholesome content on her social media, the Daily Mail reported. Her social media accounts appeared to have been scrubbed from the internet as of Wednesday evening.
Shaw was cuffed on Tuesday afternoon by officers in Boise and booked into Ada County Jail as she awaits extradition to Payette, a small city near the Oregon border, cops said.
Authorities have not yet released a cause of death for the twins and said the mom’s arrest came after a “lengthy and thorough” multi-agency investigation.
Shaw’s attorney, Joseph Filicetti, told KTVB that he still believes the twins died from vaccines.
“They were looking at it as a vaccine death, and that’s still what I believe it to be,” Filicetti told the outlet.
“I’m not a medical expert, but the medical experts I have, [they] go through a series of [steps] when looking at different complications,” he said.
He added that he was shocked by the indictment and said the couple had been complying with law enforcement.
“They’ve both been in the area for over a year, knowing something could happen, and they didn’t run.”
Filicietti also said Shaw had recently given birth to a premature newborn baby, who is being taken care of by her husband.
“They had a child born on June 25,” he said. “She’s nursing and using bottle feeding … and now she’s in a jail,” he said.
