Machine Gun Kelly’s daughter Casie Baker is thrilled about being a big sister.
MGK attended the 2025 Kid’s Choice Awards with Casie at his side on Saturday, June 22, when Casie was asked about her newborn baby sister, Saga Blade. (The musician, 35, is a father to two daughters: Casie, 15, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon, and newborn Saga Blade, who he welcomed with ex Megan Fox in March.)
“I think she’s just a good addition to the family,” she said. “Now we have two girls in the family, I have another sibling, it’s cute.”
Kelly also opened up about the impact fatherhood has had on him.
“It opened up the side of myself that I needed to stay alive to this point. Without her, it’s an easy decline, you know?” he told ABC7.
Prior to the award show, MGK was nervous Casie wouldn’t be brave enough to introduce him on stage, as “she’s really shy when it comes to public stuff.”
“I might just trick her and be like, ‘OK, just go to your seat,’ and the seat will be, like, right where the camera is. ‘Go on her anyway.’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, gotta say something,’” he told Z100. “MGK is for the kids. Wu-Tang [Clan] and MGK are both for the kids.”
The event was the first the pair attended together since they were seen at the Dolce&Gabbana Men’s SS24 Show during Milan Fashion Week in June 2023.
MGK and Fox shared their daughter’s name in June. “I think her journey — the five years of her culmination of coming, disappearing, coming back again, disappearing, coming back again,” Kelly said during his Friday appearance on the Today show. “She is an epic story. That’s what saga means.”
He seemed to be referring to the ups and downs he and Fox, 39, experienced when it came to expanding their family. Fox revealed in November 2023 that she suffered a “very difficult” miscarriage amid their relationship.
MGK added that the baby’s name is also a nod to his Nordic ancestry. “That’s the Nordic goddess of storytelling,” he added. “So, she has a storytelling future ahead of her.”
Kelly announced in March that he and Fox had welcomed their daughter. “She’s finally here!!” he captioned an Instagram video at the time. “Our little celestial seed.”
They kept the baby’s name under wraps until Tuesday, June 17, when Kelly shared a video of him playing music on a ukulele for his daughter. “Saga Blade Fox-Baker,” he captioned the clip, keeping her face hidden from the camera.
