Images of the crime scene show the body of the victim on the ground next to a grey 2018 BMW Coupe. Two bullet holes appear to have pierced the open door of the vehicle. Shattered glass from a broken window blanketed the ground near the car.
A nearby resident said she was in her sunroom smoking a cigarette when she heard banging and screaming coming from a nearby property.

“I knew something was up. I even rang my husband and said: ‘Something is going on.’ You hear people yelling and screaming, but this was rage. This was fear. You could really hear it,” she told The Age.
The woman, who did not want to be identified, said she initially thought it was a domestic dispute.
“I didn’t realise it was gunshots. I honestly thought it was a domestic dispute. That’s what I thought,” she said.
Thomas said police were not treating the incident as an underworld hit at this stage.
“It’s being investigated as a fatal shooting. It appears very deliberate and obviously targeted,” he said.
The incident is believed to have taken place opposite the Korin Korin Child and Family Centre kindergarten.
Traffic has been blocked on both sides of Champions Parade.
