A Texas man has gone viral after buying a life-size model of actor Henry Cavill.

James Robertson-Reavis is no stranger to silicone models of his favorite celebs, having collected “thousands” since the early 1990s, but his latest addition has internet users raising their eyebrows.

“We bought him to display and use for Instagram,” Robertson-Reavis told the website Queerty in an interview published Wednesday, October 8. “A kind of roommate situation; life with Henry, in a way.”

He clarified that “several” of the dolls that he owns are Halloween-focused, and the Cavill model is the “only” real-life figure in his collection.

The Cavill figure is “anatomically correct,” but Robertson-Reavis clarified in the same interview that it’s “not a sex doll,” adding, “He isn’t made like that, per se. I have added additional silicone ‘pieces.’”

Robertson-Reavis has since started the My Cavill Companion Instagram account, using AI to create content of the Cavill doll’s day-to-day activities.

“Welcome to the adventures of my Henry Cavill figure!” the account’s bio reads. (Cavill became Robertson-Reavis’ favorite actor because of the 2007 movie Stardust.)

“In order to maintain this page I want to add a disclaimer,” reads one post uploaded on October 2. “I am in no way affiliated with or pretend to be the real Henry Cavill. This is merely a fan page.”

The caption continued, “And please note: I am not the artist who created this figure, I am the owner. I commissioned the artist to make him for me.”

The Cavill doll was actually created by Steven Davies, a creator and collector of life-size figures.

“The Man of Steel is Complete. Life size Silicone Tribute Figure — Hand rooted head and body hair — glass eyes,” Davies shared via Instagram on September 18, showing off his recreation of Cavill. “Henry is a true inspiration, the hard work and dedication he put into playing the Man of Steel is unmatched.”

He added, “It is an honor to be able to create this art piece inspired by his image. Our largest and most detailed figure to date with over 350 man [hours] spent to create this art piece.”

Robertson-Reavis didn’t share an exact price for the life-size rendition but offered a range between $7,000 to $12,000 when commissioning a project of the sort.

A separate post on the My Cavill Companion account made it clear that the photos and videos were not of the “actual actor” but rather the figure of him.

Robertson-Reavis also addressed concern regarding the use of AI on his social media profile.

“I can see there being a possible issue with celebs who are deceased because they can’t give consent,” he told Queerty on Wednesday. “But for living celebs who are in the public eye … if we aren’t using AI to deceive or con, I don’t see the harm in personal use.”

He added, “We are a society that loves our celebrities and we all have that desire to know them, meet them, even love them. If AI can make dreams come true in a small way, I don’t have a problem with it.”
