Meghan Markle is celebrating Princess Lilibet’s 4th birthday by highlighting her daughter’s bond with Prince Harry.

“The sweetest bond to watch unfold,” Meghan, 43, captioned an Instagram photo on Wednesday, June 4. “Daddy’s little girl and favorite adventurer. Happy birthday Lili!”

The first photo shared Harry, 40, holding a newborn Lili in his arms following her 2021 birth. The second image showed what appeared to be a more recent photo of Harry holding Lili’s hand as they walked on sand.

This marked the second birthday tribute Meghan posted for Lili on Wednesday.

“Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives — and each day is brighter and better because of it,” Meghan initially shared. “Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!”

The Suits alum posted a black-and-white image of herself cradling Lili in her arms. Meghan also posted an intimate photo of her holding Lili to her chest just after giving birth.

Since Meghan’s return to Instagram earlier this year, the As Ever founder has offered rare glimpses into her home life in California. She posted a similar tribute to son Archie when he turned 6 years old in May.

Meghan has been candid about the close-knit bond she shares with her daughter, even discussing their future with Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, on the Tuesday, June 3, episode of the “Confessions of a Female Founder” podcast.

“You’ve worked with the girls for years, but this is a different type of endeavor,” Meghan said to Tina, when discussing the businesswoman’s recent Cécred haircare launch alongside Beyoncé. “Just curious, I mean, I wonder if one day I’ll be in business with Lili and we’ll be building something?”

Tina, 71, admitted that it was “the best” working with her daughters — but, as expected, there are tiffs between the mother and her daughters. (She is also mom to Solange Knowles.)

“There are difficulties sometimes because if you’re dealing with your child or you’re dealing with your mother, you know, you have disagreements,” Tina added. “I’m the one that always caves. I’ve been like that since I was young. If my kids are mad at me, I can’t take it. I’ll apologize.”

Meghan previously spoke about Lili specifically in August 2024 during a panel called Afro-Descendant Women and Power: Voice of Equity.

“I think part of the role modeling that I certainly try to do as a mother is to encourage our daughter,” Meghan said at the time. “And at 3, she has found her voice.”
