WASHINGTON — FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed Tuesday that multiple individuals are either under investigation or have already been interrogated by agents for discussing Charlie Kirk’s assassination in a Discord “chatroom.”

“Did Mr. Kirk’s assassin act alone?” Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) asked Patel during the FBI director’s testimony in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

“There are a number of individuals that are currently being investigated and interrogated — and a number yet to be investigated and interrogated related to that chatroom,” Patel answered.

“So others could have been involved?” Kennedy also asked.

“Yes, sir,” Patel replied.

Earlier, the FBI boss had told Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) that “a lot more” than 20 people were on the Discord channel

“I see the public reports that the Discord thread had as many as 20 additional users,” Hawley pressed.

“It’s a lot more than that,” Patel answered. “We’re running them all down.”
