Nikki Glaser wasn’t playing around with her 2025 MTV Video Music Awards dress.
The comedian, 41, took to Instagram on Sunday, September 7, to give her VMAs Ludovic de Saint Sernin dress a moment, while joking about what went on to secure the barely-there number.
“First @vmas in 12 years (see last slide)… I’d like to thank my team and an entire roll of double-sided tape for this incredible look tonight. #tapemccrae,” Glaser captioned a number of photos of herself posing on the red carpet and pulling up to the awards show, which was held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
Her celebrity friends and fans complimented her sexy look in the comments section. Kristin Cavallari wrote, “HOTTTTT,” while a fan gushed, “Being this funny AND this hot is unfair.” Another follower added, “MOTHER HAS ARRIVED.”
Styled by Dani + Emma, Glaser’s sheer look featured a plunging neckline with opaque black cups covering her bust. The number cascaded into a completely see-through skirt that hugged her curves and was complete with an elegant train. Underneath, Glaser gave fans a glimpse of her string panties. She was also on theme for the night as Gabby Windey, Tate McRae, Sabrina Carpenter and more also rocked sheer dresses.
She styled the look with statement earrings and a full beat — thanks to makeup artist Trace Watkins — including dewy foundation, filled-in eyebrows, rosy and highlighted cheeks, long lashes and glossy lips. Glaser’s taped-in look comes after she suffered a nip slip ahead of hosting the 2025 Golden Globes in January. Before taking the stage, she shared a hilarious video via Instagram of herself dancing to Taylor Swift’s hit “Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?”
In the reel, she dramatically thrashed around to the lyrics and leaned forward, accidentally letting her chest fall out of her strapless Prabal Gurung gown. She laughed off the moment by writing “oops” over her nipple and kept dating.
Glaser’s gold gown featured a deep V-neck, a fitted bodice and an A-line skirt adorned with floral details on her hip.
