With the unveiling of the Nothing Ear 3, British tech company Nothing is set to cap off a summer of high-profile product launches. This new pair of buds, the latest in Nothing’s original product series, will be released on Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. BST (5 a.m. PT).

The company unveiled the Nothing Ear 1 in 2021. Since its inception, Nothing has been renowned for its transparent design language, setting it apart in a sea of otherwise visually unremarkable tech. A teaser image for the Ear 3 suggests that this upcoming pair of earbuds will have transparent elements as well as multiple solid black components.

Over the past few months, Nothing has introduced the Nothing Phone 3, its “first true flagship,” and the Nothing Headphone 1, its first pair of over-ear noise-canceling headphones. CNET continues to be impressed by the performance of Nothing’s audio products, which have seen performance boosted this year through a partnership with British audio brand KEF.

Nothing is yet to confirm whether the Ear 3 will also benefit from the KEF partnership, and we’ll have to wait until we get our hands on the buds later this month to deliver our full verdict on whether they deserve a place on our list of best earbuds for 2025.
