An off-duty NYPD officer was wounded in the leg  after being apparently ambushed in Astoria, Queens on Sunday morning, law enforcement sources said.

Two men were taken into custody after alerts went out about a shooting at the intersection of 31st Road and 21st Street at about 6:30 a.m., where authorities found the 25-year-old officer suffering from a graze wound, sources told The Post.

A green BMW coupe was spotted at the scene with a bullet hole in the front windshield.

The injured cop, who was not immediately identified, was taken to a nearby hospital and listed in stable condition.

Two suspects who were both wearing black clothing and blue surgical masks, fled the scene in a grey Nissan sedan, sources said.

Two men in a Nissan near the scene were later seen taken into custody.

The shooting took place outside a ShotSpotter zone, where acoustic sensors are placed to identify and locate gunfire.

This is a developing story. Check back later for more details.
