The Green Bay Packers have not been known to be a team to swing for the fences when it comes to free agency signings of trades. However, in recent weeks, they have been heavily connected as a potential suitor for Dallas Cowboys superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons.

Parsons publicly requested a trade from the Cowboys weeks ago. To this point, he has not gotten a new deal done with Jerry Jones’ team.

One of the biggest needs for the Packers heading into the 2025 NFL season is help rushing the passer. It doesn’t get much better than Parsons.

Could Green Bay actually pull off a blockbuster trade to acquire Parsons from Dallas? That is exactly what a longtime Packers player and current sideline analyst for the team has hinted at.

Vikings’ Suggested Trade Would Provide Perfect Adam Thielen Alternative

John Kuhn took to social media on X and shared a cryptic post that has Green Bay fans buzzing.

“Micah Freaking Parsons,” the post read.

It might be nothing. Kuhn might simply be stirring the pot, but that doesn’t seem to be his style. Could the Packers be closing in on a deal for Parsons?

Making a trade for Parsons would immediately make Green Bay a more serious Super Bowl contender. The Packers are already widely viewed as a potential contender in the NFC. He would also need a new deal that would make him one of the highest-paid defenders in football.

Brian Gutekunst has been open to the idea of making a huge move to win a championship. Pulling the trigger on a Parsons trade would be the definition of that kind of move.

Adam Schefter Provides Major Update on Raiders Trade Rumors

Last season with the Cowboys, Parsons played in 13 games and dealt with some injury issues. He racked up 43 total tackles to go along with 12 sacks, two forced fumbles, and a defended pass. Back in 2023 in 17 games, he totaled 64 tackles, 14 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and two defended passes.

Expect to continue hearing rumors about a potential Parsons trade. Kuhn has Green Bay fans on the edge of their seats.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes from this or if it’s simply another false alarm that leaves Packers fans disappointed.
