Micah Parsons is now on the Green Bay Packers. After the blockbuster trade went down that saw him traded by the Dallas Cowboys to the NFC North franchise for two first-round picks and Kenny Clark, Parsons is now gearing up for Week 1.

Throughout the course of the offseason, there has been some question about Parsons’ health. He has been dealing with some back issues that have been a bit concerning.

Ahead of his potential debut in Week 1 for the Packers against the division rival Detroit Lions, Parsons has spoken out and provided a major update about his health status.

During his introductory press conference in Green Bay, Parsons made it clear that he’s feeling good physically. He’s ready to get on the field with his new squad and make a difference.

Cam Newton Throws Major Shade at Packers After Micah Parsons Trade

“Physically, I’m great,” Parsons said. “I think I can contribute a lot. I’m going to team up with the doctors and create a plan. We already talked about how we can ramp me up and get me in a flow where they feel comfortable and I feel comfortable.”

Parsons doubled down on that statement by making it clear that he wants to give the Packers a strong return after they gave up so much and paid so much to get him.

“My plan is to be here. They didn’t give up what they gave up for me to sit on the sidelines.”

All of that is great news for Green Bay. Having a healthy Parsons ready to rock for the team’s matchup against the Lions will be extremely important. Detroit has a very dangerous offense and Parsons should be able to help put pressure on Jared Goff.

Since coming into the league back in the 2021 season, Parsons has not recorded less than 12 sacks in a season. The Packers have not had the kind of impact pass rusher that Parsons has proven himself to be in a long time.

It won’t be much longer before fans get their first look at the new Packers superstar. Green Bay will face off against the Lions on September 7.
