Patrick Mahomes’ Turkey Day eating habits have the Internet divided this Thanksgiving.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 30, teamed up with Adidas football on Wednesday, November 26, to remind people what matters most on the fall holiday.

“Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks,” he explained in an Instagram video. “Return home, see family and meet new friends. Thanksgiving is a time to eat.”

As the Super Bowl champion enjoyed all the staples like mashed potatoes and vegetables, he couldn’t help but douse a turkey leg with ketchup.

“From Patrick Mahomes, Happy Thanksgiving,” the text read as the video concluded.

Soon after the clip was posted, followers couldn’t help but sound off on Mahomes’ condiment of choice for his turkey meal.

“Bro ketchup on the turkey?😂 come on man,” one fan wrote in the comments section. Another user added, “Aye he gotta chill on the ketchup 😂.”

One Kansas City Chiefs fan, however, didn’t care what the quarterback ate for Thanksgiving. Instead, the focus should be on how he plays on the football field.

“I don’t know about the ketchup Pat, but I know we got to win!” the user shared. “Let’s go Chiefs!!! 😍.”

On Thursday, November 27, the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Texas. The football game will also feature a halftime performance from Post Malone and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders as part of the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Kickoff.

“Honored to be part of the @dallascowboys @salvationarmyus red kettle kickoff halftime show,” Malone, 30, wrote via Instagram on November 16 while wearing Dallas Cowboys gear. “See y’all on Thanksgiving 🍻.”

This isn’t the first time Mahomes has made headlines for his love of ketchup.

According to ESPN, the NFL star spent most of his life putting ketchup on everything. In fact, he got bottles of it for his birthday growing up.

According to the publication, Mahomes hesitated to ask for ketchup with his steak during a 2018 restaurant visit. (It’s unclear if ketchup is available at Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s 1587 Prime steakhouse.)

“Just ask for it,” Patrick’s mom, Randi Mahomes, said at the time. “I know you want it.”

In a separate chat with reporters, Patrick was asked about his condiment preferences at a news conference.

“I don’t think it’s that weird, but I put it on my macaroni and cheese,” he shared with reporters. “People seem to think that’s a weird thing, some people think that’s disgusting, but it’s good to me.”

Food preferences aside, both Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, are taking time to express gratitude for the life they have built together.

Before game time, Brittany, 30, shared a series of autumn-inspired photos snapped alongside her husband and their three kids Sterling, 4, Bronze, 2, and 10-month-old daughter Golden Raye.

“Happy Thanksgiving🤎,” she wrote via Instagram on Thursday before her husband competes in his first NFL game at AT&T Stadium.

While it’s too early to tell if Brittany and the kids will be in the audience for Patrick’s Thanksgiving game, some family members cheered on the Chiefs during their November 23 game.

“Sideline chaos🤣❤️ ,” Brittany wrote via Instagram after the game.
