A Perth man critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Bali has been flown back home thanks to more than $135,000 in public donations.

Dylan Brown, 21, was holidaying on the island when the incident occurred on Tuesday.

His family described his injuries as life-threatening and extensive. He has since undergone brain surgery on a blood clot in Indonesia, thanks to the donations received.

“His progress is hopeful, though he remains in critical condition,” his family member wrote yesterday.

“We’ve found strength in each other and been overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers and new friends, helping us in countless ways.

“Your generosity has melted our hearts, and we’ll never forget it.”

Brown arrived in Perth last night on a medevac flight and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

More than $135,000 has been raised for his medical costs through a GoFundMe page, including a $40,000 donation from an anonymous person, which funded his emergency surgery.
