After five years alongside Joe Burrow, new Baltimore Ravens pass rusher Trey Hendrickson will now aim to sack his former Cincinnati Bengals teammate during their two divisional meetings.

Hendrickson chose to remain in the AFC North after his time with the Bengals ended. On March 11, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported, citing sources, that the Ravens and Hendrickson agreed to a four-year, $112 million deal that can be worth up to $120 million with incentives.

Moreover, Schefter revealed that the contract includes $60 million fully guaranteed and a $20 million signing bonus. Hendrickson was introduced to the Baltimore media on March 13 and asked what it will feel like to face Burrow this upcoming season.

“I mean, Joe is one of the best in the National Football League,” Hendrickson told reporters (h/t Jamison Hensley of ESPN). “Going against quarterbacks is something I like to affect games. I don’t go into it with a high or low standard. It’s my standard. It’s continuing to play the same brand of football. I played in the Super Bowl. I didn’t go into it saying, ‘This has to be my best game.’

“It’s the standard I’ve carried from Day 1, preseason all the way to the Super Bowl. Getting back to a point like that, it doesn’t matter who the quarterback is or who we’re playing. The wins are important, and if you don’t think they are, they’ll sneak up on you.”

Hendrickson has played nine NFL seasons with the Bengals and Saints, recording 161 solo tackles, 75 assisted tackles, and 81 sacks, per StatMuse. Additionally, he has been selected to four Pro Bowls during his career.

The 31-year-old ended the 2025 season on injured reserve following a procedure to repair a core muscle injury, finishing with four sacks in seven games. As a result, the Ravens are hopeful that he can return to his 2024 form, when he led the NFL with 17.5 sacks.
