Ryan Reynolds proved he’s wife Blake Lively‘s biggest fan while supporting her at a recent screening of her movie Another Simple Favor.

Following the event on Sunday, April 27, Reynolds reposted a sweet clip shared via the A Simple Favor Instagram account. In the Instagram Story video, Reynolds, 48, was seen standing behind the photographers with his phone out.

“Blake, Blake! Over here!” Reynolds shouted as the actress posed on the red carpet. “One more, just one more!”

“Did you just take her picture @vancityreynolds?” read the caption accompanying the video.

Reynolds showed the results of his photo mission in a subsequent Instagram Story slide, but the picture definitely wasn’t perfect. Lively, 37, was in motion and the top of a man’s blocked part of the frame. “Nailed it,” Reynolds teased.

Lively celebrated the premiere of Another Simple Favor in New York City on Sunday with director Paul Feig, costar Anna Kendrick and more. Reynolds looked dapper in a grey pinstriped suit, which he paired with a blue pocket square and brown shoes. He was all smiles on the red carpet with Lively, who was gorgeous in a mint green gown that featured cutouts on the bust.

Days before, the couple attended the Time 100 Gala in NYC, where Lively was honored after being named as one of the outlet’s most influential people. She gave a speech at the star-studded event and alluded to her ongoing legal battle with It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni.

“I have so much to say about the last two years of my life, but tonight is not the forum,” she said on Thursday, April 24, discussing “the feeling of being a woman who has a voice today.”

Lively went on to praise her mother, Elaine, who survived “the worst crime someone can commit against a woman” years before the actress was born.

“We don’t let our daughters know, but one day we break their hearts by letting them in on the secret that we kept from them as they pranced around in princess dresses, that they are not and will likely never be safe at work, at home, in a parking lot in a medical office, online — in any space they inhabit physically, emotionally, professionally,” she continued. “Never underestimate a woman’s ability to endure pain.”

Reynolds was in the audience and appeared to give his wife a pep talk before she graced the stage.

The couple’s nights out have been rare as Lively contends with her legal woes. She sued Baldoni, 41, for sexual harassment in December 2024, claiming he caused “severe emotional distress” and fostered a “hostile work environment” on set of It Ends With Us. Lively also accused Baldoni of attempting to launch a smear campaign to damage her career.

Baldoni denied Lively’s allegations, later filing a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times — who first reported on Lively’s case — and a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds and Lively’s publicist, Leslie Sloane. (In February, Sloane requested her name be removed from Baldoni’s suit.)

Lively has repeatedly shut down Baldoni’s accusations, and in March, a judge granted to pause the lawsuit against The New York Times. A trial date for Baldoni and Lively has been set for March 2026.
