Sydney Sweeney’s fans are speculating about her relationship status.
Sweeney, 27, became engaged to producer Jonathan Davino in February 2022. In recent days, the Anyone But You actress appears to have deleted a picture of herself kissing Davino, 41, from Instagram. The photo was snapped over the holidays as the couple ushered in 2025.
On Monday, March 24, the Instagram gossip account Deuxmoi shared that Sweeney had “deleted [her] NYE picture” with Davino. “Think they might be broken up,” the account speculated, fueling chatter that the low-key pair have called it quits.
Us Weekly has reached out to Sweeney’s rep for comment.
In December 2024, Sweeney and Davino were spotted heading to dinner at Crane Club, a steakhouse in New York City, sporting his-and-hers leather looks. The couple were first romantically linked in 2018 and have since kept their romance out of the spotlight.
“I don’t date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it’s easiest,” she told Cosmopolitan in February 2022. “I have a great support system. I have people who will battle for me and allow me to be on the pedestal and shine without making me feel like, ‘Oh no, I’m shining too bright and I need to step back.’”
At the time, Sweeney said that she looks for a partner who’s also a “best friend. I need to be able to be with someone who I can literally hang out with 24/7 and never get sick of and we laugh every single day.”
That same month, the White Lotus star and her beau sparked engagement rumors after Sweeney was spotted with a diamond on her ring finger. Us Weekly confirmed the engagement in March 2022.
When she hosted Saturday Night Live two years later, Sweeney praised Davino during her monologue and playfully poked fun at the false rumors of a romance between her and Anyone But You costar Glen Powell, who was sitting in the audience.
“That’s obviously not true,” she said at the time. “Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there the entire shoot, and I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams and we’re still together and stronger than ever.”
Sweeney has recently traveled to Africa with her girlfriends, sharing glimpses of the trip via Instagram.
“This was wild,” she captioned a Saturday, March 22 post of her safari and encounters with elephants, giraffes and leopards. She also included a video of herself laughing with friends — Davino was not among them.
