Taylor Swift got engaged with the ultimate clean-girl manicure, wearing a sheer and subtle nail look for the long-awaited moment when her now-fiancé, Travis Kelce, popped the question.
The singer, 35, opted for a soft, neutral color to mark the milestone moment in engagement photos posted by the lovebirds on Tuesday, August 26. Swifties zeroed in on her hands — and that stunning ring — which was highlighted by a pared-down coat of polish.
Some fans speculated she went fully natural, or perhaps had only a clear coat on, for her special day. Others are theorizing that Swift was rocking soap nails — one of the hottest trends of 2025 — with a medium-short, almond shape.
“This is all about the cleanest, freshest manicure that looks like it’s straight out of a spa day,” celebrity nail artist and Tweezerman pro artist Tom Bachik told Vogue in July.
Last year, Swift wore the cherry red nail trend at the US Open, donning yet another crimson color at the 2025 Grammys.
Swift’s recent minimalist look allowed her ginormous engagement ring to take center stage.
Jewelry expert Nilesh Rakholia told Us Weekly that Kelce, 35, proposed with a ring that is likely worth more than six figures — anywhere from $950,000 to $1,270,000.
“The stone itself looks to be easily in the 7–10 carat range, which immediately places it among the most iconic celebrity engagement rings,” the Abelini founder shared with Us.
A second jeweler, engagement and wedding ring specialist Laura Taylor, told Us that Swift’s ring could be up to 12 carats and is “easily worth” $1 million.
Swift took her hand game up a notch by sporting a Santos Demoiselle watch from Cartier for an estimated $18,330 while wearing a $398 striped silk-blend dress from Polo Ralph Lauren.
Kelce was no slouch in the style department either, wearing a Ralph Lauren navy blue shirt and white pants while getting down on one knee.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” the couple captioned their engagement announcement.
