A teenager has died and a young woman is in hospital following a head-on collision in Brassall, west of Brisbane, overnight.
About 8.40pm, a white Mazda 3 travelling on Fernvale Road, Ipswich, collided head on with a white Kia Seltos, police said.
A 24-year-old woman was taken to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital after a collision in Ipswich overnight.
The driver and sole occupant of the Mazda, an 18-year-old Brassall man, died at the scene.
The 24-year-old woman driving the Kia was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane for treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating, and police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
In a second incident overnight, police charged a 29-year-old man with multiple offences, including dangerous operation of a vehicle, after he was found to have intentionally driven a car at pedestrians north of Brisbane.
Emergency services were called to a car park on St Smith Road in Beachmere just before 1am on Saturday following reports that a man was intentionally driving a black Nissan X-Trail at pedestrians.
A 45-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries to his lower body after he was struck by the Nissan. He was taken to Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition.
