Let’s talk about zodiac signs that don’t get along and probably shouldn’t get it on.

Cue the drum roll of dread: freewheeling Sagittarius and pry my lover out of my cold, dead hands, Taurus. A pairing of the lofty and the earthen, the philosophical and the tactile.

Astrologer Evan Nathaniel Grim of Inner Worlds Astrology shared, “If you’re a Sagittarius, you love to talk about big ideas. If you’re a Taurus, you kinda think conversation is overrated.”

As a fixed earth sign, the bull heart of a Taurus craves comfort and consistency in the vein of television reruns and Olive Garden breadsticks. Bulls are drawn to the defiant, bon vivant, flee-the-pasture energy of Sagittarius but are ultimately turned off by the archer’s disinterest in building or providing a solid foundation.

“Taurus, you like to sit back and enjoy the finer things in life, and Sagittarians are always giving their opinion about something. Tauruses are rolling their eyes and wondering when the next dinner reservation is.”

In fairness, Taurus is, with or without the provocation of a Sagittarius, wondering when the next dinner reservation is.

These two are ruled by two very different luminaries; Taurus belongs to Venus, the planet of wealth and worth, love and luxury, tangible goods and people as possessions.

Conversely, and very much in keeping with the clash, Sagittarius is ruled by expansive, excessive, philosophical, more is more and boundaries are bulls–t planet Jupiter.

Grim continued, “On top of that, a lot of Sagittariuses honestly have issues with monogamy, whereas Tauruses demand total loyalty. A recipe for disaster.”

Indeed, Taurus rules the second house of self-worth and worldly possessions and natives exhibit a tendency to treat their lovers like the latter while Sagittarians are avowed only and ever to themselves and letting the good times roll.

For examples of discordant bull/archer pairings, see Taurus queen Cher and her second ex-husband the mutton-chopped, freedom-loving rock n roll outlaw Mr. Gregg Allman.

Allman, who has been married five times, in true Sag fashion, admitted to his fist full of failed unions, “It was definitely my fault that they didn’t work. It seems to me like they loved me for who I was, and immediately they started trying to change me and I just didn’t want to do it.”

Love me but leave me wild, and to my wanton ways, checks out.

Another example of these stars going wrong? Taurus Kelly Clarkson and her ex-husband and card carrying Sagittarius Brandon Blackstock who split in 2020 citing “irreconcilable differences.” The bad blood spilled over into contention over cash for these two former flames who locked horns over homes and alimony in the fallout of their divorce.

Sweet bull baby Channing Tatum and actor/director/archer Zoë Kravitz also make the list of earth/fire exes. The two have since gone on to pair up with elemental partners, Tatum with Virgo model Inka Williams and Kravitz with a fellow fire sign, Leo Austin Butler.
