A key Minnesota Timberwolves star has departed the first game of the team’s ongoing second round series against the Golden State Warriors.

Timberwolves reserve power forward/center Naz Reid is the second star player to depart Tuesday’s ongoing Game 1 playoff tilt against the Golden State Warriors.

After falling into a courtside fan, Reid developed a noticeable limp.

He ultimately opted to foul and beg out of the game with the clock ticking down in the first half.

Reid departed the contest for the locker room.

At the halftime break, the Warriors currently lead the Timberwolves, 44-31. It’s Minnesota’s lowest-scoring half this season.

Golden State has been playing without its best player, 11-time All-Star Stephen Curry, who had to depart the action in the first half with a left hamstring injury.

Warriors Superstar Stephen Curry Exits With Apparent Injury

Per ESPN’s Shams Charania, Curry has already been ruled out for the second half of the matchup.

With Curry departed, Golden State’s other two future Hall of Famers have had to look to score with more frequency. Eight-time All-Defensive Team power forward/center Draymond Green has scored a team-leading 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field (4-of-6 from long range), plus six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Six-time All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler has just six points on 2-of-7 shooting from the floor.

The Warriors are connecting on a mediocre 16-of-43 shooting from the field, but a solid 9-of-20 from distance.

Three-time All-Star Minnesota shooting guard Anthony Edwards, the club’s best player, has just one point to his name in the half.

The Timberwolves are shooting just 32 percent from the field, and have missed all 15 of their attempts from 3-point land.
