This takeout was taken way out.

An absent-minded expat in Australia redefined “slow food” after accidentally ordering Uber Eats to an address in Dublin, Ireland — some 9,600 miles away.

“I was absolutely gutted,” Oisin Lenehan, 29, told Jam Press while recounting the international meal mixup.

The Belfast native had moved to Melbourne six years ago and was staying with his friends Kyle, 33, and Sarah, 29, until he found a place of his own.

“We were enjoying a nice evening of drinks and I thought I’d get us a takeaway because I was their guest,” Lenehan recalled.

The hungry expatriate had ordered $65 worth of food, including BBQ chicken pizzas, garlic bread and chips on Uber Eats from what he thought “was a local place.”

Everything seemed hunky dory until the Irishman checked the order confirmation and realized the food was slated to be delivered to an address in the Emerald Isle.

“The food was being sent to a place in Dublin where I’d been for a night out,” lamented Lenehan. “My heart just dropped because we were hungry and we were going to have to go through the whole process again of deciding where to order and what we wanted.”

In addition, the mortified takeout customer had to explain the situation over the phone. The interaction was recorded by his friends and posted to TikTok, where it amassed over 500,000 views, Jam Press reported.

“I need to cancel the order,” the red-faced Lenehan told an Uber Eats representative on the phone while his roommates guffawed in the background. “I mistakenly left my own home address in the system.”

Thankfully, the expat managed to secure a full refund, getting his money, if not his dignity back intact.

“He was so respectful on the phone,” recounted his bemused bud Kyle. “We were laughing our heads off.

And they weren’t the only ones who saw the funny side.

“People have been messaging asking for his social media and saying he can have a takeaway delivered to their house,” said Kyle, who claimed that he’s been flooded with messages from women hoping to get Lenehan’s number as well.

Thankfully, Lenehan was amused by his accidental celebrity status.

“I love that people found it funny,” said the Uber Eats customer, who said it’s “typical” for him to get into ridiculous situations.

“These incidents happen to me all the time and I didn’t realize there was an audience for it,” he said.
