The US Open jerk who snatched a hat autographed by Kamil Majchrzak from a boy’s grasp has been identified as Polish millionaire CEO Piotr Szczerek.
Szczerek, the ceo of Polish paving company Drogbruk, was identified in multiple reports as the man caught on video stealing the cap from the young fan as Majchrzak was signing autographs.
Majchrzak, 29, later found the boy and on Saturday posted video to Instagram showing them meeting after his warmup.
The clip shows a smiling Majchrzak shaking the boy’s hand and chatting with him and two others as Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind” as the soundtrack.
“Today after warmup I had a nice meeting,” he wrote with a hands up emoji, followed by, “Do you recognize?” And a hat emoji.
The meeting came as internet sleuths identified Szczerek, who could not immediately be reached for comment.
