The 2026 NFL draft is a wrap, and now, it’s time for the NFL analysts to come out with their grades of how each team used their pick.
The event was packed with excitement, and the moves that the Cleveland Browns made are drawing attention.
Nate Davis of USA Today published his grades for each team for their draft class. For the Browns, he gives them a strong A and ranks them No. 4 in the league for their draft class. He also loves the pick of Spencer Fano, among the other early and latecomers.
“The pre-draft perception – for whatever that’s ever worth – was that the Browns couldn’t wait long to get more needed bodies for both the offensive line and the receiver room,” he noted. “Yet GM Andrew Berry, who seemingly hit last year’s draft out of the park, seemed to agree, getting two blockers and two WRs among this first five selections (the fifth guy in that cluster being second-round S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, whom Berry aggressively moved up to rescue at No. 58).”
Davis called Fano an “immediate starter” along with KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, stating that “amassing talent while determining who the franchise QB is (unless sixth-rounder Taylen Green proves Brady-esque, which he certainly isn’t physically given his size-speed quotient) – though Cleveland’s rebuild seems well ahead of New York’s. Your move, Shedeur.”
Grading the Cleveland Browns
The Browns have actually delivered in the past few drafts and have a track record of sniffing out promising young talent. That said, they’re going to need it going into the 2026-27 season.
Whether or not Shedeur Sanders leads this team, their new players should offer a boost to this offense, which will make for an interesting next season.
