When the Dallas Cowboys take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football, they will be happy to know that star cornerback Trevon Diggs will be in uniform. Diggs was cleared to play after dealing with a nagging ankle injury all week.

Getting Diggs back for this game will be huge for the Dallas defense as a whole. They will already be without some other star players for this game as pass rusher Micah Parsons was ruled out earlier in the week.

Demarcus Lawrence is also out for this game. The Cowboys’ defense has struggled heavily this season so they can at least be glad that Diggs is able to suit up.

On the offensive side of the ball, wide receiver Brandin Cooks is out after being put on the IR. So, the Cowboys will need others to step up if they want to come away with the win.

Having to play in Pittsburgh against the Steelers for a night game won’t be easy. The Steelers tend to show up for these types of games so Dallas will need to bring their A-game in this one.

The Cowboys have been rested, coming off a win over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football last week. Despite this, the injuries to Dallas have been mounting and their season could be in jeopardy.

They will enter this game with a record of 2-2 on the season. Getting a win over the Steelers could go a long way and also could be a statement of sorts.

Pittsburgh has been one of the more interesting teams this season, holding a record of 3-1 heading into the contest. They have been led by their defense mainly so Dallas will need to find a way to move the ball down the field.

Luckily for them, star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb plays for their team. Lamb is going to need to put on a show for the Cowboys if Dallas wants to find a way to win this game.

He has all the tools to make it happen but it will be easier said than done against this tough Pittsburgh defensive unit. The hope is that even with the injuries to the Cowboys’ defense, the Steelers’ offense won’t be able to do enough to put the game out of reach for Dallas.

This is a massive contest for both sides and bragging rights will be on the line in this historic game.
