While most toddlers might be startled by Halloween music, one girl from North Carolina has been caught boogying to the creepy sounds.

In a clip on TikTok, dad Brian Schwartz pressed play on the iconic theme of the 1978 horror classic Halloween, and within seconds, his daughter Lily started dancing to the eerie music.

Schwartz, 29, told Newsweek that the video was inspired by his two older sons, who are huge fans of spooky season.

The family, based in Charlotte, had been watching clips from The Nightmare Before Christmas on YouTube, and Schwartz, caught in the festive spirit, decided to keep the party going.

“I was thinking of other popular Halloween songs when I decided to search the song in the video. I wasn’t sure what her reaction would be, but I hit play, and she just started to break it down,” he told Newsweek.

Lily, who turned one in September, loves music and dancing and will often perform for Schwartz and his wife, Micaella, even when she hears the sound of the washing machine beeping.

“This was the first time I had seen her dancing with her arm up and head down like that. My wife even has a video of her dancing downstairs while I was upstairs playing drums,” the dad said.

Schwartz’s clip went viral after he posted it on October 2, amassing over 212 million views. Little Lily has also gained a huge fan base from TikTok users, some of whom were convinced she’d be scared by the spooky tune.

Many welcomed her to the Halloween fan club, with one user commenting, “She found her season.”

The most liked comment came from @jubjub57, who wrote: “This makes me feel better about the fact that at 3 my daughter’s fav movie was Babadook.”

Another TikTok user shared how their 3-year-old is also excited about Halloween: “She currently watches the walking dead before going to bed and we spend an hour on sundays in the Halloween spirit.”

“I thought it was so funny that she had her rhythm in sync with the song. She just turned one and started standing/walking this past month, so I think the music just takes over,” Schwartz said.

“She has such a funny personality and must get her dance moves from her mom,” he added. It looks like Halloween may just be Lily’s favorite holiday.
