Rumors are circulating that top banker JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has endorsed former President Donald Trump for president. However, Dimon has not publicly endorsed Trump or Vice President Harris for president.

“I’m not endorsing anyone at this time,” Dimon said during a CNBC interview this month. “I spend more of my time on policy. What is the policy that we need to both help the world policy and domestically?”

Dimon previously had lunch with Harris and said that the vice president was reasonable and open to improving how the government and corporations work together, according to the Wall Street Journal.

However, on Friday afternoon, reports were once again swirling that Dimon gave Trump his public support on X and other social media platforms. Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk posted that Dimon endorsed Trump in a now deleted X post and Trump reposted a claim about Dimon endorsing him on his own social media accounts.

Dimon has made comments indicating Trump is right about several issues. He also criticized the strong dislike and backlash for Trump supporters among many liberal circles.

“I wish the Democrats would think a little more carefully when they talk about MAGA,” Dimon said on CNBC’s Squawk Box. “When people say ‘MAGA,’ they are actually looking at people voting for Trump — and they’re basically scapegoating him.”

Dimon said many people support Trump for his financial policies above all else. The JPMorgan CEO noted that he doesn’t like how Trump “said things” but said he “wasn’t wrong about those critical issues.”

Specifically, Dimon said Trump’s views on the economy, immigration and China were some of his best selling points. Dimon credited Trump with growing the economy “quite well” and his successful tax reform. The CEO also said Trump was “kind of right” about NATO, immigration and China.

Last year, Trump came out against Dimon for his previous support for former ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.

“Highly overrated Globalist Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMORGAN, is quietly pushing another non-MAGA person, Nikki Haley, for President,” Trump said on Truth Social. “I’ve never been a big Jamie Dimon fan, but had to live with this guy when he came begging to the White House. I guess I don’t have to live with him anymore, and that’s a really good thing.”

Dimon is a registered Democrat, according to records reviewed by Newsweek. According to FEC records, Dimon made two political donations this year. That included $3,300 to Republican Senator Joni Ernst for $3,300 and $3,300 for Republican Representative French Hill.

Newsweek reached out to Dimon for comment via email.
