President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to its lowest level of his second term, according to a new poll.
The survey by Issues & Insights/Tipp Poll, conducted between March 31 and April 2, revealed that 39 percent of respondents viewed Trump favorably, while 53 percent had an unfavorable opinion, and eight percent were not sure or not familiar enough to say.
The findings mark a drop from the pollster’s previous poll – conducted between February 24 and 27 – when 42 percent of respondents viewed Trump favorably, and 49 percent had an unfavorable opinion.
Trump’s overall net favorability fell from -7 percent to -14 percent between the two polls.
The latest poll was conducted on 1,464 adults nationwide, and had a margin of error of +/- 2.7 percentage points.
TIPP is considered the most accurate pollster as it is the only national poll to correctly identify the winners of the last six presidential elections.
This is a developing story. More to follow.
