The eyes of the soccer world turn to Manchester, England, on Sunday for the Manchester Derby, with an exciting matchup between Manchester United and Manchester City.
It’s been a down season for Manchester City, at least judging by their recent excellent form in the Premier League over recent campaigns. Manchester City currently sits fifth on the table in England’s top flight with 51 points in 30 matches behind a record of 15 wins, six draws and nine losses.
Pep Guardiola’s men have scored 57 goals this season, the second-most of any club in the Premier League, but have given up 40, the highest mark of any club currently top six on the table.

Manchester United, meanwhile, is 13th on the table with just 37 points in 30 matches, a lowly mark considering the club’s proud history. Manchester United even boasts a negative goal differential on the campaign, scoring 37 goals this season but giving up 41.
The last time these two clubs faced off was on Dec. 15, 2024, a 2-1 victory for Manchester United in which Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo were the heroes. Down 1-0 to City in the 88th minute, Fernandes scored from the penalty spot while Diallo found the match-winner two minutes later in the 90th.
