Luka Doncic hasn’t been on the court since the Los Angeles Lakers’ February 5 matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.

After leaving the game 15 minutes in with a hamstring concern, the Lakers have been taking it day by day with their sharpshooting star. Doncic missed his fourth-straight game on Thursday night, as the Lakers closed out the week with a game against the Dallas Mavericks.

Before the game tipped off, Lakers head coach JJ Redick was once again asked about Doncic’s injury. There wasn’t anything new for Redick to deliver beyond the idea that Doncic should be ready to return to the practice court when the All-Star break is over.

As far as the NBA All-Star Game goes, Redick isn’t sure about Doncic’s status.

“That’s above my pay grade,” Redick told reporters, regarding Doncic’s availability this weekend.

Lately, the NBA has had to announce multiple changes to the All-Star rosters. With injuries hitting multiple players, replacements have been added over time. If Doncic can’t get the nod to play, that will give another outsider a chance suite up.

This season, Doncic landed in the game with a weighted score of 2.5. He was second in the Western Conference. The Lakers star ranked sixth in voting with players, first with the fans, and second with the media.

Before his injury, Doncic appeared in 42 games, averaging 35.5 minutes per game.

The star guard has been averaging over 30 points per game for the second time in his career (32.8 PPG). He is shooting 47 percent from the field and draining 34 percent of his threes. Along with his scoring, Doncic is dishing out 8.6 assists per game and coming down with 7.8 rebounds per game.

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game will take place at 5 PM ET on Sunday, February 15.
