Jodie Turner-Smith shared a cryptic message about people who “seem so nice” amid her ongoing custody issues with ex-husband Joshua Jackson.

The Queen & Slim actress, 38, reposted a meme via her Instagram Story late Monday, June 2, featuring pictures of four animated movie characters — including Toy Story 3’s Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear and Frozen’s Prince Hans — who turned out to be villainous in their respective movies.

The meme contains the text, “‘Why don’t you like that person? They seem so nice.’”

It then adds, “You know who else seemed to be nice…” referring to the aforementioned characters.

“Stay safe out there,” Turner-Smith added her own text alongside the meme.

Earlier Monday, it was reported that Jackson, 46, filed a request for an emergency custody order modification.

The actor filed a motion on Friday, May 30, alleging that his ex-wife changed 5-year-old daughter Juno’s school without his approval, per court documents obtained by Us Weekly. (Jackson and Turner-Smith welcomed Juno in April 2020.)

Jackson claimed in the docs that Turner-Smith finds it to be “no big deal to force Juno to start over with a new school.” The Dawson’s Creek alum alleged that he’s concerned that “Jodie is attempting to create a scenario where Juno travels with her rather than attending a traditional school.”

In the docs, Jackson requested the court order Juno to continue to be enrolled in the school she has been at for the next year. He also asked for there to be joint approval between him and Turner-Smith for Juno’s additional school changes in the future.

Us Weekly has reached out to Turner-Smith’s representatives for comment regarding the court filing.

In May, Jackson and Turner-Smith reached a divorce settlement, according to court documents obtained by Us. In the deal, the former couple agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their daughter.

The deal, which was signed on May 3, meant that neither Jackson nor Turner-Smith would receive spousal support. While the docs noted that Turner-Smith alleged that the pair separated on September 13, 2023, Jackson listed their split date as September 30, 2023.

Us confirmed in October 2023 that Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson after more than four years of marriage and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.

Both Turner-Smith and Jackson have been vocal about putting their daughter first since their split.

“It’s just about — center the children and that’s all you can do,” Turner-Smith told Entertainment Tonight in November 2024 of navigating parenthood amid a split. “Nobody gets everything right but at least when you know you’re focused on the right thing, you know you’re gonna do your best.”

Jackson, meanwhile, shared during an April episode of the “Dinner’s On Me” podcast, “If I ever did anything to estrange my daughter from myself, I would be in duress. I actually can’t conceive of it because I don’t even wanna think of the pain that that would be.”

He continued, “Regardless of how messy the divorce is, beautiful the divorce is, easy [or] hard the co-parenting is … I think this generation of dads is understanding, like, ‘I need to be here. It’s gonna be hard, but this is important, and I’ve got to do this.’ It’s my job — shared with my ex-wife — to do everything that we can to nurture you, cultivate you and give you all the tools that you need in life.”
