U.S. athlete Lindsey Vonn has been airlifted from Winter Olympics after crashing.
The 41-year-old could be heard screaming in agony in video footage of the crash, beamed live around the world, during the women’s downhill skiing at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics on Sunday,
Footage showed she hit the gate with her right shoulder before twisting and crashing hard at speed less than 14 seconds into her run.
She had suffered a left ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) days before the race.
