Jesse McBee got real about his and wife Alli McBee’s financial situation after brother Steven McBee Jr. tried to convince them to sign a prenup.
“She makes more money than I do,” Jesse exclusively revealed to Us Weekly on Wednesday, August 27, while promoting the season 2 finale of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys.
He teased, “So, I should have been the one to sign a prenup anyway,” which prompted a laugh from Alli, who was sitting beside him for the interview.
During the Monday, August 25, episode of the Bravo series, Steven pulled his other brothers, Cole McBee and Brayden McBee, aside during Jesse and Alli’s rehearsal dinner to talk money.
“I haven’t heard on the prenup,” Steven, who is the CEO of their family business McBee Farm & Cattle, told his youngest siblings.
Neither Cole nor Brayden were in the loop on Jesse’s plans for a possible prenuptial agreement with Alli, but Jesse later told Steven he wasn’t going to sign one. (Steven claimed that if Alli and Jesse get divorced, she could get 12.5 percent of the farm which equates to “multi, multi millions.”)
“I don’t think it’s going to happen. I think Alli is obviously a lot different than any other girl out there,” Jesse told his big brother. “I think for her and for us it’s best that honestly we didn’t.”
Steven walked away, claiming, “It’s not good for the rest of us.”
Looking back at the moment, Jesse told Us that he’s proud that he stood his ground with Steven.
“I was definitely nervous. You don’t see me go against the grain a lot, or against my brothers or my dad on basically anything that they say. [That was] the first for me,” he confessed on Monday. “So I was definitely nervous. I knew what the right decision was, and I was hoping that Steven would understand that.”
Jesse noted that he “understood” Steven’s “point of view” and his desire to set the “stands for us boys,” but reiterated that Alli is different.
“He was friends with Alli before I even was. So, I think that he kind of understood where I was coming from at the end of the day with it and knew the type of person that she was,” Jesse explained, pointing out that Alli grew up alongside the McBee family as his high school sweetheart.
Jesse, who married Alli in October 2024 and has since welcomed daughter Summer, 4 months, told Us it all “works out” and was “good” to hash it out with Steven.
“I think it needed to happen. At some point in everybody’s lives. You kind of have to stand your ground and, you know, set your morals,” he concluded. “I think that was a pivotal point for me, myself and kind of the person that I want to be.”
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys season 2 finale airs on Bravo Monday, September 1, at 9 p.m. ET.
